Marjorie Kline

On Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at 5:00 pm, Ms. Kline will present a workshop open to all Dartmouth, Tuck, Thayer, and Medical School students, faculty, staff, and alumni on enhancing these critical entrepreneurial skills.

Beyond having a good idea, a good business model, even a flawless execution strategy, the entrepreneur constantly faces the challenge of communicating all these important things effectively. Communications experts have begun to recognize that the biggest single factor in capturing a listening audience is the first impression a speaker makes on an audience… often before he or she even starts talking. Communications educator and consultant Marjorie Kline works with business and political leaders on to identify and enhance individual speaking and presentation styles, develop audience awareness, align a bright idea with a communication goal, develop a savvy message, polish delivery, and prepare for Q & A. Ms. Kline is a 1992 graduate of Harvard University with a Master of Public Administration and she is an associate professor at the Washington Center in Washington, DC.

This workshop is organized by the Dartmouth Entrepreneurial Network (DEN) and Tuck's Entrepreneurship Club. This event is open to all Dartmouth, Tuck, Thayer, and Medical School students, faculty, staff, and alumni, but registration is required.
